Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)

A position is available for a Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role requires critical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide delegated direct patient care, including physical examination and data collection.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and education.
• Administer medications and perform peripheral IV therapy as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning and implement physician's orders.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

• Shift: Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating and call may be necessary, but required on rare occasions.
• Scrubs:
  Royal Blue.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• BLS certification and IV certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
• Ability to adapt to a busy unit and handle quick turnovers.
• Able to float to other units as needed, with occasional assignments to ICU for Medical-Surgical overflow or Step Down patients.

Fingerprinting is required as part of the hiring process. Candidates should be aware that this may take several weeks. A one-week maximum request time off (RTO) may be accommodated.
