Expectations
General Expectations
Conduct all business ethically and professionally. Satisfy the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers. Sell and deliver a minimum of 10 units per month. Approach, greet, and assist customers entering the dealership. Help customers select vehicles by asking questions and listening. Explain product performance, features, and benefits. Describe optional equipment. Offer test drives, following dealership procedures. Use dealership sales control and follow-up systems.
Commit to customer satisfaction. Know and comply with laws governing retail auto sales. Handle credit applications. Set personal income goals aligned with dealership standards. Attend training and stay updated on products. Understand vehicle equity, depreciation, and financing. Ensure sales manager meets each customer. Complete and process all paperwork accurately. Prepare vehicles for delivery, deliver vehicles, and explain features and paperwork.
Introduce customers to service department. Schedule service appointments. Follow up to meet customer expectations. Maintain owner follow-up and prospect development systems. Review actions regularly to improve. Attend sales meetings. Maintain professional appearance and ethical conduct. Develop guidelines to maximize customer satisfaction. Comply with government regulations such as OSHA, FTC, Privacy Act, GLB Act, etc. Other duties may be assigned.

Introduce customers to parts, service, F&I, and merchandise departments. Use floor time effectively. Handle warranty items efficiently. Highlight product features and benefits. Conduct courteous telephone transactions. Use vehicle delivery as a loyalty event. Provide accurate quotations. Follow up with customers regularly. Perform pre-delivery inspections and road tests. Attend training and stay current with sales techniques.
