The HVAC Installer Technician is responsible for installing residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

• Install residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, coils, heat pumps, and related components.
• Install and connect refrigerant lines, ductwork, thermostats, indoor air quality products, and HVAC accessories.
• Perform low‑voltage and line‑voltage wiring associated with HVAC installations.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal and flexible duct systems as required.
• Install and connect gas piping in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Perform system start‑ups, testing, and equipment verification to ensure proper operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and installation diagrams.
• Load, transport, and organize materials, tools, and equipment needed for installation projects.
• Complete installation documentation and job‑related paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
• Assist with training and mentoring installation helpers as needed.
• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• One to three years of HVAC installation experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

• New Mexico Journeyman License.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and duct system installation.
• Experience installing heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, and mini‑split systems.
• Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.

• Ability to lift and move materials, tools, and equipment required for HVAC installation work.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces when necessary.
• Ability to work at elevated heights using ladders and related equipment.
• Ability to work in varying weather and temperature conditions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
