Salary: DHSF2 Band E £26,403 – £28,142 (Actual range £23,966 – £26,084).

Contract type:
Permanent – Term Time plus 10 days.

Working hours:

37 hours per week, full‑time basis.

As a Science Technician you will support the Science Department by preparing, setting up, and clearing equipment and chemical solutions for daily lessons and demonstrations. You will maintain laboratory equipment, conduct routine safety checks, manage inventory, and assist teachers and students with laboratory tasks. This role requires a flexible team player, a solid understanding of school safety standards, and a structured, organised approach to workload prioritisation.

Qualified applicants will have a degree or a relevant science‑related qualification, or substantial experience in a school science setting. Experience using laboratory equipment and managing safety procedures is required. The role normally requires teaching assistant or technology‑related experience.
