Field Service Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on‑site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for our clients' equipment and systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, travelling to various locations to ensure optimal operation of our products and solutions.

• Conduct on‑site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment and systems at client locations.
• Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Perform repairs or replacements of faulty components efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical guidance and training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
• Document service activities comprehensively, including reports on repairs, inspections, and recommendations.
• Liaise with the central office to coordinate service schedules and report any recurring issues or potential improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all service activities.
• Assist in the development of service procedures and technical documentation as required.

• Proven experience in electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems within a field service environment is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple service calls efficiently.
• Valid driving licence is essential; willingness to travel extensively is required.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications such as NVQ, HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent are desirable.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours when necessary for urgent repairs or system upgrades.
