Category Manager - Food & Beverages

Joybuy, a  retail platform for Europe, is looking for a Food & Beverages Category Manager. This role offers real ownership in a high‑growth, international e‑commerce business.

• Help shape the future of Joybuy’s Food & Beverages offering in a high‑growth international environment.
• Build new categories and expand existing ones to deliver the best possible assortment for our customers.
• Define negotiation strategies and lead supplier negotiations from first conversation to signed agreement.
• Build strong supplier partnerships while ensuring competitive commercial conditions.
• Develop deep category knowledge through data, customer insights, market trends, and supplier input.
• Identify commercial opportunities and translate them into pragmatic plans that improve assortment, performance, and profitability.
• Collaborate closely with marketing to increase product visibility via campaigns, banners, and promotional activations.
• Work cross‑functionally with teams such as supply chain to improve availability, product quality, and the overall customer proposition.

• A BSc or MSc degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Buyer, Category Manager, or Key Account Manager, preferably in food, FMCG, or e‑commerce.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence in supplier negotiations.
• Ability to assess opportunities quickly and understand key negotiation points.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with energy, persistence, and ownership.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong relationship‑building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
