As Project Procurement Lead, you oversee procurement and supply chain activities for specific packages within projects, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and high‑quality delivery of equipment and materials. This role involves managing supplier relationships, coordinating with engineering and project teams, and negotiating contracts to meet project specifications and budget requirements. The Project Procurement Lead is responsible for tracking the supply chain schedule, mitigating risks, and implementing strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
Responsibilities- Develop the Procurement Strategy in accordance with lessons learned and input from Category Managers.
- Set up the Tendering strategy for the Purchase Request along with Buyer and Category Manager.
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with the support of the Buyer and Category Manager, coordinating all required functions.
- Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration, address issues proactively, and drive supplier performance improvements.
- Interface with the vendor during Purchase Order execution ensuring activity alignment with project priorities.
- Provide continuous feedback on vendor performance to Category Managers and solicit support for PO execution issues related to strategic vendors or categories.
- Report progress to the Project Procurement Manager throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor PO execution and proactively raise alerts, implementing action plans for potential issues (schedule, cost, quality, contract).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support long‑term project objectives.
- Proven track record in managing supply chain packages for complex projects, including offshore, onshore, or subsea equipment.
- Strong background in contract management and negotiation, particularly in high‑value contracts with technical specifications.
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management software to track procurement processes and schedules.
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements in oil and gas procurement and supply chain operations.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and meet deadlines under pressure.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
