About Nearfield Instruments

Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enables our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to increase the production yields, and thus, functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.

Founded in 2016, we bring together the most creative minds in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.

What will you be doing?

As a recruitment business partner you will join Nearfield’s HR/Recruitment team and will be responsible for the end-to-end candidate experience to attract skilled (technical) staff for our organization. We are continuously recruiting experienced candidates in a large variety of engineering- and physics disciplines, to support the R&D, development, and production activities of our semiconductor metrology systems. You are a firm sparring partner for our (hiring) managers and lead and facilitate a smooth recruitment process for each position that will be issued.

Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end recruitment activities for all departments within Nearfield.
  • Advising hiring managers on recruitment strategies and best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and finetune internal recruitment processes and procedures and procedures.
  • Establish relevant partnerships in new countries where Nearfield deploys activities.

  • Represent Nearfield Instruments on relevant (career) events.
What do we require from you?

Joining a scale-up means being part of an exciting growth journey. It offers exceptional opportunities to learn, make an impact, and help shape the future of the company. At the same time, priorities evolve, processes mature, and change is a constant. We're looking for someone who thrives in this environment—someone who enjoys creating structure, continuously improving the way we work, and helping us scale successfully.

You’ll recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Feels comfortable managing end-to-end recruitment for complex technical roles in a scale-up environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills. You know how to set clear expectations, influence effectively, and keep hiring teams aligned throughout the recruitment process.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is a strong advantage.
  • A genuine interest in technology and the curiosity to deepen your understanding of the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong sourcing skills and confidence in proactively identifying and engaging top talent.
  • A proactive, hands‑on mindset with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
  • Comfortable taking ownership, working independently, and navigating an evolving environment where not everything is fully defined yet.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to work five days per week from our Rotterdam office.
What can you expect from us?

There's never been a more exciting time to join Nearfield Instruments. As we continue to scale, you'll have the opportunity to grow alongside the company - professionally and personally. You'll join an ambitious, collaborative team where your ideas matter and your impact is visible from day one.

In return, we offer:

  • A competitive salary that reflects your experience and contribution.
  • 30 vacation days per calendar year (based on a 40-hour work week).
