Logistics Manager About the Unit

Yara Vlaardingen produces high quality water soluble fertilizers, potting soil fertilizers and a package of liquid fertilizer mainly targeting the fertigation segment worldwide. With a team of more than 63 colleagues, we are driven by our core values:

Yara Vlaardingen is a medium-sized production facility and allocated as a top tier SEVESO site. Reporting to the Plant Manager, we are seeking a Logistics Manager to manage and lead the Logistics Team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the logistics Department (5 FTE).
  • Liaising with European Business Service Center and Business Development Managers for forecast and Sales coordination.
  • Responsible for demand planning and Sales Order Management.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations (including Dangerous goods).
  • Responsible for Sales, operational planning process and OPCOM.
  • Responsible for product registration and export documentation.
  • Drive development of planning tools and processes.
  • Manage all issues related to customer feedback, investigate, identify root causes and manage corrective actions. Confirm and communicate close-out to customers.
    • Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in logistics and transport.
  • Knowledge of ADR, ADN, IMDG is essential.
  • Outstanding in English and Dutch.
  • High IT competence in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Efficient and able to adapt quickly to changes and work under pressure.
  • Leadership soft skills, motivated, and driven to make a difference.
  • Team player with a strong drive towards delivery and finding constructive solutions.
