About the Job

As Road Director Benelux, you will be responsible for defining and executing the Road Freight strategy across the Benelux and driving the growth of our Road business.

• Define and execute the Road Freight strategy across the Benelux.
• Rebuild, redefine, and grow the entire Road organization in the Benelux from the ground up.
• Take ownership of the Road business performance, including budget management, P&L responsibility, and achieving ambitious growth targets.
• Translate the global and regional Road strategy into local initiatives, projects, and business plans that strengthen our market position and operational performance.
• Foster strong relationships with customers, carriers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to drive innovation and business development.
• Provide strategic direction on commercial and operational matters while ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, and industry regulations.
• Oversee the Road pricing and tender strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, healthy margins, and successful execution throughout the organization.
• Act as an ambassador for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics by representing the Road product at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences across the Benelux.

• Extensive experience within Road Freight Forwarding and Transport Logistics, in a senior leadership role.
• Strong commercial mindset and a proven track record of growing and developing logistics businesses.
• Experience building, restructuring, or scaling organizations.
• Strategic thinking combined with a hands‑on mentality and the ability to turn vision into execution.
• Inspirational people leader who enjoys coaching teams and developing future talent.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, capable of building long‑term partnerships.
• Entrepreneurial, ambitious, and comfortable taking ownership of complex business challenges.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
