Overview

Oma's Soep sells fresh soups and meals based on grandma's authentic recipes. Profits support lonely elderly people. The foundation organizes weekly activities to bring young and old together.

What does a Cooking Day entail?

The Cooking Days are organized weekly from different community centers and day cares. Participants spend 2‑3 hours making a fresh soup with elderly guests, playing board games, telling tall tales, and chatting. Volunteers are welcomed at the scheduled start time.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook soup with the elderly participants.
Facilitate board games and conversation during the session.
Provide companionship and conversation to the elderly.

Qualifications

No prior culinary experience is required. Volunteers should be friendly, patient, and able to commit to a 2‑3 hour session.
