Job Description
Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our client's logistics challenges.

Essential Job Functions

Develop target list and initiate contact with potential clients through sales phone calls, appropriate social media, promotional flier distribution, and cold calling.

Arrange and confirm appointments to introduce the company and the company’s services to potential clients and build and maintain ongoing relationships.

Support existing clients, acting as intermediary for communication between client and their operations teams and Crane Worldwide network; available for escalation when necessary.

Provide tracking information as requested by the client.

Escalate all issues with a shipment immediately to the client to ensure prompt resolution.

Manage all client requests and follow up to ensure that the client needs are met.

Facilitate the completion of national RFQ’s.

Provide marketing and proposal support for all Global Sales Team members.

Analyze client profit or loss and provide proposals for yield improvement.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Talking, hearing, and using hands to operate computer equipment.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Other Skills & Abilities

Strong client-facing skills and effective selling to decision influencers and decision makers with a consultative approach.

Strong computer usage skills, demonstrated capability with the suite of Microsoft Office products and active in broad-based internet networking tools, e.g. Linked In.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (German and English).

Ability to meet challenges with resourcefulness.

Demonstrates effective negotiation and closing techniques.

Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.

Works well in a team environment.

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience with 3PL or freight forwarder including internal and external facing roles.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales (Ocean freight / Airfreight).
