Salary Range: per Collective Bargaining Agreement

The Village of Round Lake Beach is seeking a dependable and motivated Public Works Maintenance Worker I to perform a variety of manual and semi‑skilled tasks in street maintenance, water and sewer systems, forestry, grounds maintenance, fleet services, and facility upkeep. This position operates vehicles and equipment, supports seasonal snow operations, and assists with repairs and maintenance across multiple public works divisions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Illinois Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements, or ability to obtain within six months
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and work in varying weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with others

Additional Requirements:
Background check, including clean driving record, and pre‑employment physical with drug/alcohol testing is required.
