Step into an impactful contract opportunity where your expertise as a School Social Worker will make a difference in the lives of young students. This role, based within a day therapeutic program, offers a chance to collaborate closely with dedicated educators while providing crucial support for children in specialized classes. You'll take on a meaningful caseload of three classes: two focused on elementary students with emotional disabilities (ED) and one serving those on the autism spectrum.

Your day will run from 8:15am to 3:15pm, with a half-hour lunch break to recharge. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 22, 2026, with the potential for renewal for the following academic year.

Qualifications:
  • Current licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
  • Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities and/or autism preferred
  • Understanding of IEP processes and collaborative student planning
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop individualized intervention strategies
  • Flexible, resilient approach for navigating diverse caseloads
Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling to elementary students in two ED classes and one autism class
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success and well-being
  • Participate in assessment, development, and review of IEPs, ensuring compliance and best practices
  • Implement evidence-based interventions aligned with student needs
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic learning environment for all students
  • Monitor progress and adapt interventions as needed
