Social Worker in Round Lake, IL

This role, based within a day therapeutic program, offers a chance to collaborate closely with dedicated educators while providing crucial support for children in specialized classes. You'll take on a meaningful caseload of three classes: two focused on elementary students with emotional disabilities (ED) and one serving those on the autism spectrum.

Your day will run from 8:15am to 3:15pm, with a half-hour lunch break to recharge. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 22, 2026, with the potential for renewal for the following academic year.

• Current licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
• Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities and/or autism preferred
• Understanding of IEP processes and collaborative student planning
• Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to elementary students in two ED classes and one autism class

• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic learning environment for all students
