You will develop creative solutions to challenging problems associated with the design of our new and existing smart drug delivery systems. The successful candidate will possess strong electrical engineering technical capabilities, an excitement and energy for problem solving, and a passion for their work in product development in order to have a positive impact on developing high precision, life‑critical products and therapies.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Design and develop analog/digital circuits for microcontroller‑based smart drug delivery systems, ensuring high performance and reliability in life‑critical applications.
- Translate user needs into electrical requirements, specifications, and system architectures with clear documentation.
- Integrate electrical designs with mechanical and software components, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Define and support verification and validation testing, including development of test methods, protocols, and performance assessments.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, manage design deliverables and timelines, and communicate progress, risks, and results effectively.
- Perform circuit analysis and simulation (LTSpice/PSpice) to evaluate performance, environmental effects, and timing interfaces.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or related engineering field required. 1+ years related experience preferred.
- Knowledge in design of embedded microcontroller‑based electronics devices, including FPGA‑based, digital and analog design.
- Knowledge and experience using eCAD systems for printed circuit board schematic design and layout (Altium Designer, preferred), circuit analysis tools (LTSpice and Pspice), and data acquisition software (LabVIEW).
- Specific experience in design and development of sensing subsystems highly desirable.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. This position has a salary range of $76,000 to $104,500 and also includes an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position.
The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
