Our client, a leader in healthcare technology solutions, is seeking a dedicated Interoperability Test Engineer to join their team. As an Interoperability Test Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting the Medical Device Systems team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Interoperability Test Engineer
Round Lake, IL 60073 – ONSITE ROLE
Duration: 5 months with the possibility of extension/conversion
W2 role – No C2C/No 3rd Party
- Execute predefined interoperability test cases across medical device systems, interfaces, and integration platforms.
- Validate data exchange workflows for accuracy, completeness, and reliability, ensuring compliance with healthcare interoperability standards.
- Record test results, capture logs, and document defects with clear reproducibility steps to support quality assurance efforts.
- Perform testing aligned with standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE profiles, verifying message structure, data mapping, and transaction workflows.
- Identify, isolate, and document defects related to interoperability, data integrity, and system integration, supporting root cause analysis and regression testing cycles.
- Experience executing interoperability test cases within a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE profiles.
- Ability to configure and utilize test tools, simulators, and mock systems to emulate interoperability scenarios.
- Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate test records and support audit readiness.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on defect identification and resolution.
