Your Role at BaxterThe research we conduct and the products we develop improve outcomes for patients worldwide. As a Associate Scientist II you will contribute to impactful projects, influence cross‑functional teams, and demonstrate leadership through collaboration.
What You’ll Be Doing- Effectively apply solid technical knowledge and relevant laboratory skills (HPLC/UPLC, GC, KF titration, UV‑Vis spectroscopy, osmometer, pH) to a variety of projects with minimal assistance.
- Conduct routine and non‑routine research, design experiments, and implement solutions independently.
- Make sound technical recommendations on routine and non‑routine matters, providing analysis and redesign of key experimental procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of QSR and safety requirements and build awareness of other R&D regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Recommend appropriate designs, techniques, and processes for specified sequences of tasks.
- Contribute to technical feasibility analysis of complex research and design concepts.
- Apply a working knowledge of GxP and related regulations and guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field with at least 3 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and writing skills.
- Experience with HPLC/UPLC.
- Effective collaboration on project teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to objectively assess, organize, and clearly communicate complex information.
- Skill in interpreting available information and making recommendations to resolve technical challenges.
- Strong prioritization to meet project schedules.
This position offers a base salary range of $88,000 to $121,000, plus an annual incentive bonus. Salary may vary based on skills, experience, business line, and location.
