Your role at Baxter

As an Inventory Control Specialist
, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of inventory across warehouse operations by managing cycle count activities, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to improve performance. Working closely with Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Procurement, and Finance teams, you will maintain reliable inventory records that support uninterrupted production and customer fulfillment. This is where your analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement help drive inventory accuracy, audit readiness, and operational excellence in a regulated environment.

What

You'll Be Doing
  • Own and maintain inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations, ensuring inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and complete the daily Cycle Count Program, including recounts, result validation, and documentation maintenance.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and implement corrective actions when performance targets are not achieved.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • Review inventory transactions, adjustments, and material movements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Monitor released, unreleased, blocked, quarantine, expired, and obsolete inventory to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Ensure FIFO inventory practices are consistently followed throughout warehouse operations.
  • Support receiving, storage, staging, picking, packing, shipping, and material movement activities as needed.
  • Assist with physical inventories, annual inventory counts, and warehouse support during periods of increased workload.
  • Use ERP and warehouse management systems, including JD Edwards (JDE), RF scanners, GME, and C3ME, to manage inventory transactions and records.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, GDP, SOPs, inventory control procedures, and ALCOA data integrity principles.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by maintaining complete, accurate, and audit-ready inventory documentation.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Finance, and Warehouse Operations teams to resolve inventory issues and support continuous operations.
  • Monitor and report key inventory metrics including inventory accuracy, cycle count completion, inventory variances, transaction accuracy, inventory integrity, and inventory aging.
  • Participate in Lean, Operational Excellence, and 6S initiatives to improve processes and eliminate recurring inventory discrepancies.
  • Train warehouse personnel on inventory control procedures and cycle counting.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two or more years of warehouse or inventory control experience working in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or a related environment.
  • Must not have allergies to Penicillin or Cephalosporin products.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause investigation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other computer-based inventory systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
