Job Description SummaryProvides clerical and administrative support to a departmental office or program.
Responsibilities- Perform office duties in support of faculty, staff, and/or student efforts, including word processing, data entry, maintaining files, processing mail, and duplication.
- Gather, compile, and enter data, producing routine reports and documents.
- Produce handouts, fliers, newsletters, brochures, manuals, and other documents.
- Answer the telephone, route calls, or take messages; respond to and/or direct inquiries in person or on the telephone.
- Input budget figures, prepare requisitions, log and track expenditures, take payments, or issue invoices or bills.
- Maintain tracking systems and logs.
- Operate office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
- Office procedures and practices.
- Customer service techniques.
- Maintain confidentiality of work‑related information and materials.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Maintain an established work schedule.
- Effectively use interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effectively use organizational and planning skills.
- Enter data, maintain files, and perform other clerical duties.
- Effective customer‑orientation when working with a multicultural population.
- Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software.
- May also use social media, work with desktop publishing, and update webpages.
Work is routinely performed in a standard office or similar environment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
Safety:
Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour. Up to 19 hours per week.
Clery ActAs required by the U.S. Department of Education, employees are required to report violations under Title IX and, under the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), selected individuals are required to report crimes. If this position is identified as a Campus Security Authority (Clery Act), you will be notified, trained, and provided resources for reporting.

Full‑time faculty and staff employees are eligible for ACC medical benefits after 60 days of employment.
