What you’ll be doing

We are recruiting a Senior Superintendent to join our team in Round Rock, TX.

Sabey Construction, Inc. (SCI) is a specialized in‑house builder behind Sabey Corporation’s most ambitious projects, delivering high‑performance data centers, state‑of‑the‑art commercial developments, and advanced healthcare and life sciences facilities. Their integrated approach ensures seamless project execution from pre‑construction planning to final delivery, prioritizing efficiency, sustainability, and technical excellence.

As a Senior Superintendent you will:

  • Provide input for project construction schedules and advise on changes that significantly impact project schedule.
  • Prepare and maintain proper reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all layouts are correct and enforce quality control standards.
  • Coach, train, and develop construction personnel.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Director to enforce safety policies and procedures; hold primary responsibility for safety on the project site.
  • Inform the supervisor of any labor disputes or personnel problems that may affect the company.
  • Supervise and maintain adequate subcontractor labor crews; schedule and coordinate activities of all subcontractors/vendors.
  • Schedule the routing and delivery of all materials and take precautions to prevent theft on job sites.
  • Co‑chair weekly construction meetings of subcontractors/vendors.
  • Review and approve overtime work requests and obtain appropriate security clearances.
  • Maintain a daily recap of events and review it with the project manager.
  • Ensure subcontracted forces comply with the quality control program and minimize punch‑list issues.
  • Assist the project manager or estimating manager by reviewing bid documents and estimates.
  • Review subcontractor/vendor invoices and recommend approval, reduction, or rejection.
  • Document all field changes and as‑built conditions for the project manager.

Experience you will bring to the team
  • 15+ years of field experience in a supervisory role in commercial construction with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or comparable work experience.
Minimum Competencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite – Word, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Full working knowledge of project scheduling and related software platforms.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi–task in a fast‑track project delivery environment without compromising quality.
  • Advanced English communication skills – excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to collaborate with all levels of Sabey employees and business partners.
  • Ability to supervise and manage labor crews, maintaining schedules, applying people‑management best practices, and identifying potential risks on site.
  • Strong customer service skills – professional interaction with tenants and subcontractors.
  • Strong people‑management skills via written and verbal communication.
  • Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of building construction and basic building maintenance.
  • Detail orientation with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and growth within the organization.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technology.
