The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is a part-time, on-site role based in New Braunfels TX. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs and policies across industrial construction projects to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site inspections and audits, identifying and mitigating hazards, leading incident and accident investigations, and maintaining documentation for safety performance and regulatory reporting.
The EHS Manager will provide regular training and coaching to field and office teams, collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety into planning and execution, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to environmental stewardship and worker health. This role also interfaces with external regulatory agencies and safety accreditation partners as needed to maintain certifications and uphold best practices.
- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health skills, with experience applying them in industrial or construction environments.
- Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root-cause analysis, corrective action development, and incident reporting.
- Candidates should possess Training skills, with the ability to design and deliver safety programs, toolbox talks, and regulatory compliance training.
- Relevant knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and other applicable federal and state regulations, along with experience working within accredited safety programs.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, develop job safety analyses, and implement control measures on active job sites.
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
- Experience in industrial construction or related sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, or chemical plants is highly beneficial.
