Austin Children’s Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant in Round Rock, TX to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.
Position OverviewA Dental Assistant is an integral part of the care team, providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. They support our mission to provide excellent dental care in the community and help create more smiles and memorable experiences. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.
What we offer- Competitive hourly pay $23.00–$26.00
- Type: PRN (as needed)
- Expected Availability:
Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM;
Friday, 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM - Health, dental, and vision insurance

Responsibilities- Clinical Support:
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures. - Patient Care:
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. - Radiography & Diagnostics:
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
- Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
- One year or more on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation)
- Registered Dental Assistant – Required
- X-Ray certification
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
- High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
