Dental Assistant – Round Rock, TX

A dental practice is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and the clinical team in providing efficient, high-quality patient care. The role involves chairside assistance, patient preparation, diagnostic support, infection control, and maintaining an organized clinical environment. This opportunity is well suited for a Dental Assistant who values teamwork, patient care, and continued professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists with a variety of dental procedures
  • Prepare patients and operatories before and after appointments
  • Take dental X-rays and support diagnostic procedures
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories
  • Assist with patient charting and treatment documentation
  • Take dental impressions and bite registrations as needed
  • Perform digital intraoral scans when required
  • Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and pre- and post-treatment care
  • Support smooth patient flow throughout the practice
  • Maintain infection control and workplace safety standards
  • Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide quality patient care
  • Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Dental Assistant license or applicable credential
  • Current CPR certification
  • At least 6 months to 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and sterilization practices
  • Ability to perform or assist with dental radiography as permitted by applicable requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
  • Willingness to learn and develop additional clinical skills
