Design Intern at M3
Someone who will help project teams design, test, and prototype concepts for our clients and their customers. You will support project teams with generating concepts through prototyping, 2D digital sketching, and 3D CAD modeling. You have a natural ability to be creative and problem solve and have excellent interpersonal skills.
What you'll do:During your seasonal internship you will work closely with other Design and Engineering team members to develop products across the Lifestyle, Healthcare and Workplace industries. You will work under the supervision of a Senior Designer who will help answer questions and provide guidance to complete tasks. You will be part of brainstorms, be assigned projects tasks, and help with design and prototyping of concepts.
Above all, you'll learn while you create products of the future alongside a creative and driven M3 Design team.
You are familiar with form development, 2D digital sketching and visualization (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator), 3D CAD modeling (Rhino, Solidworks or Creo), and computer rendering and/or animation (e.g. Keyshot). You have used Adobe and Microsoft Office suites and have applied human factors principles to the design of products and user interfaces. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, can work with minimal supervision, and are willing to take direction from project team members.
Experience/
Education required:
You are working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial/Product Design from an accredited Industrial Design program or have recently graduated. You have experience in solving design problems (for school or personal interest) through and have a portfolio showing some of these projects. A prior Industrial Design internship is a plus.
