Description:
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Texas State University seeks to establish a pool of temporary/non‑tenured faculty with expertise in world languages for lecturer appointments. Successful candidates will teach courses in their area of expertise. Faculty may teach one to four courses per semester, based on student demand and departmental needs, and may be assigned to the San Marcos, Round Rock campuses and/or online.
- Develop and deliver instruction in the specified language courses each semester.
- Asses student learning and provide timely feedback.
- Prepare course materials, syllabi, and assignments that align with department standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Minimum of a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching field.
- Ph.D. or ABD in the specific area of instruction.
- Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level.
