Job Description

Lead Direct Care Staff will provide spiritual leadership and encouragement to residents while also continuously supervising students. Supervise at night & assist students (ages 12yrs to 17yrs) with online education & TC Curriculum when applicable. Minimum age requirement is 21yrs old. Option: full‑time position.

Qualifications
  • She/He shall be a person of spiritual maturity, amiable to the Assemblies of God doctrine, and in full agreement with the ATCOT mission statement
  • Complete the Effective Biblical Counseling course or an equivalent course
  • Knowledge of Christian discipleship and mentor relationships
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ideally credentialed as an minister or pursuing credentials in the AG or doctrinally similar fellowship
  • 30 hours of training in childcare or related field (Provided by ATCOT Adolescent annual in‑service)
  • Maintain First Aid and CPR certification (Certification training provided by ATCOT)
  • A background check and pastoral reference is required
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree or work experience equivalence
  • At least 1 year full‑time ministry experience
  • A good driving record
Relationships
  • The Lead Direct Care staff is responsible to the Campus Coordinator and Director
Requirements

Will primarily serve as an minister to students in the Adolescent program (12yrs TO 17yrs old).

Responsibilities
  • Engage in religious instruction
  • Work with other departments to comply with all TCUSA & Texas DFPS regulations
  • Participate in campus events and chapels as required
  • Supervision (following staff check‑off list responsibilities), mentoring and interacting with residents during various activities, which may include but is not limited to online school, TC Curriculum, work periods, free time and recreational activities
  • Administer discipline as necessary according to ATCOT THRIVE policies
  • Minister to students as opportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions
  • Become a mentor to students
  • All other duties as assigned by Director
