Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Player Development Coach, Sports Academy - $150,000/year USD

$150,000 annual salary, distributed weekly. Full health, dental, and vision coverage begins on day one. Austin, TX (fully on site). Relocation assistance available.

Competing at the elite level—as an Olympian, World Champion, or D1 First Team All-American—has taught you what it takes to achieve excellence. The question is: can you distill those lessons into tangible coaching methods that drive students to reach their potential?

Texas Sports Academy is where your next challenge begins—not observing from the sidelines, but immersing yourself daily in coaching that pushes students past their perceived boundaries. Your role is not simply to recount your journey. You will convert elite athletic principles into motivational frameworks, deliver resilience‑building workshops, and lead rigorous training sessions where championship standards are non‑negotiable.

Austin provides year‑round access to outdoor training, a dynamic sports community, and a purpose‑centered environment where your competitive legacy fuels the development of tomorrow's leaders.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting focused 1:1 coaching sessions that convert your competitive background into concrete, results‑oriented strategies for student development
  • Directing energizing morning assemblies that activate and unite the entire student community
  • Delivering interactive life skills workshops where you coach students directly through exercises in resilience, leadership, and purposeful goal‑setting
  • Leading organized afternoon athletic training that embodies championship principles: creating drills, demanding maximum effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through sport (not merely overseeing activity)
  • Engaging proactively with each student across the day: moving through spaces during self‑directed learning, stepping in to inspire when a student struggles, and seizing moments that catalyze transformative thinking
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Observing passively from the sidelines: this is an active, hands‑on coaching position. You will be present on the ground, running sessions, engaging directly with students, and making real‑time interventions.
  • Delivering conventional academic instruction or adhering to a prescribed curriculum: students use adaptive learning platforms for academics. Your focus is life coaching, motivation, and cultivating meta‑skills through mentorship and sport.
Player Development Coach

  • Proven experience using sport to mentor and coach life skills
  • Demonstrated motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional settings
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Willing to live in or relocate to Austin, TX
