Temporary/non‑tenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory performance evaluations, continuity of funding, and departmental/school/program need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos, Round Rock campuses, and/or online, depending on departmental needs.
Required QualificationsSpecific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous teaching experience
- RHIA, RHIT, CPHIMS, or other relevant certification based on professional curriculum teaching assignment
