You do not teach in the conventional sense. You inspire action. Alpha students in grades K‑3 complete their academic learning through AI‑driven applications in two daily hours. As a Guide, you oversee a single cohort band — K‑1 or 2‑3 — and adjust your approach, rhythm, and sessions to suit that band. There are no lectures or worksheets. Half your time is spent facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops covering public speaking, focus, and feedback exchange.
These workshops serve as frameworks, not rigid scripts — the most effective Guides customize them for their cohort and create new sessions when gaps emerge. The remaining half involves sitting with students individually or in small clusters, analyzing Coachbot data, and coaching each child toward 100% completion of their weekly app targets. With young learners aged five and six, energy and playfulness are not optional;
they are the mechanisms that sustain attention long enough to enable learning. Warmth grants you the credibility to challenge. Challenge signals your confidence in their capacity.
A successful quarter means every student completes their weekly app targets, passes the Test2
Pass for every life‑skills workshop, and at least 90% report they love you. Falling short on any of these three means the role has not been fulfilled. In your first year, you master the operational framework; as you demonstrate your ability to uphold standards, the path opens to Lead Guide, where you mentor newer team members while continuing to work directly with students.
If you are drawn to traditional teaching methods, prefer pre‑packaged curricula, or view warmth and rigor as opposing forces, this role is not suitable. If you have thrived as an early‑elementary educator who excelled during circle time, a camp counselor for young children, a youth sports coach, a children's theater performer, or anyone capable of commanding a room of kindergarteners through voice, play, and pure presence, the final step before an offer is a shadow day on campus coaching actual Alpha students.
If that prospect excites you most, submit your application today.
- Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops for cohorts of 10‑15 K‑3 students covering public speaking, focus, feedback, and other foundational competencies.
- Conducting daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions that keep students on track for weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha's incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and the personal rapport you establish with each child.
- Administering the Test2
Pass (Alpha's mastery‑based evaluation) for each life skill, and coaching students who do not pass until they achieve mastery. - Engaging kindergarteners at their developmental level through songs, stories, movement, and playfulness, while maintaining real, quantifiable expectations for second and third graders.
- Serving as the warm adult children are excited to see on arrival and the adult who will not permit them to settle for less.
- Delivering instruction from the whiteboard; academic content is delivered through the apps, not by you.
- Creating curriculum independently;
Alpha supplies the operational framework and you execute it with energy. - Passively monitoring students on devices; motivation in this role is active, personal, and continuous.
- Adjusting a weekly target downward so a child can meet it; if a student is struggling, the solution is supporting the student, not changing the goal.
- Grading assignments, facilitating standardized test preparation, or handling parent communication;
Campus Leads manage parent‑facing responsibilities, and the other tasks do not exist in this model.
