Position Title:

Nontenure Faculty Pool
- Health Sciences

Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school/program need.

Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.

This posting covers the Summer 2026, Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. It does not indicate an immediate need; applicants will be considered for future openings.

Qualifications
  • Required:

    A master’s degree with related graduate work in the teaching field.
  • Preferred: A doctorate in a related health field and previous teaching experience.
