We are looking for an enthusiastic and mitted Special Education Teacher to join our educational team in Round Rock, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide tailored instruction and support to students with unique learning needs, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
  • Modify and adapt curriculum resources to acmodate individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrative staff, and parents to facilitate student achievement.
  • Conduct evaluations to assess student needs and track their progress.
  • Deliver personalized instruction in small group and individual settings.
  • Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement various instructional strategies to engage and motivate students.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and municate effectively with families.
  • Stay informed about current special education laws, policies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate in Special Education (EC-12).
  • Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Excellent munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Texas Educator Certification in Special Education (EC-12).
  • Additional certification in a core subject area (e.g., Mathematics, English Language Arts) may be necessary depending on the assignment.
  • completion of mandatory Texas Education Agency (TEA) training and professional development.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
