Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and operations:
- Lead all daily school operations while ensuring compliance with The Goddard School standards, state licensing, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with the Owner and Director of Education to deliver operational excellence, educational quality, and an exceptional family experience.
- Develop, implement, and monitor school policies, procedures, and operational systems.
- Set school goals, track key performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee school communications, calendars, schedules, events, and administrative operations.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, evaluate, and retain high-performing teachers and support staff.
- Lead professional development, performance reviews, and faculty meetings.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable culture while developing future leaders.
- Manage employee scheduling, attendance, timecards, and personnel records.
- Curriculum and Program Development:
- Ensure high-quality implementation of The Goddard School curriculum and educational programs.
- Support teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and child development.
- Monitor classroom quality, student transitions, and continuous program improvement.
- Enrollment, Marketing & Family Engagement:
- Lead enrollment and retention efforts to achieve school growth goals.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and current families through exceptional tours, proactively address concerns, and ensure an outstanding family experience.
- Develop local marketing initiatives, community partnerships, referral programs, and represent the school at community events.
- Financial Management:
- Manage the school budget, operational resources, inventory, and administrative functions efficiently.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including enrollment, retention, payroll, and operating expenses, to achieve financial goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and overall school performance.
- Health and Safety:
- Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health, sanitation, accreditation, and quality assurance standards.
- Oversee facility maintenance, emergency preparedness, safety drills, and daily opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must meet Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Child Care Regulation requirements for a Childcare Director.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of Director-level experience in a non-profit licensed childcare/preschool setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education, child development, and quality program practices.
