In the role of Electrical Engineer, you will coordinate the work of the electrical design team on large institutional and industrial projects through schematic design development and contract document phases. Your responsibilities include establishing meetings and participating in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance, coordinating workload to meet schedules, conducting site work sessions with the Project Manager and other disciplines, reviewing electrical documents for conflict with all disciplines, writing and editing electrical specifications, selecting equipment, systems, and devices, and handling addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders.
You will also provide construction contract administration as needed, conduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Coordinators, or Technicians, and perform other duties as required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng))
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
