Commercial HVAC Controls Design Specialist

- Design Building Automation Controls projects to meet scope of work and budget as defined by contract documents and sales estimate ensuring equipment compatibility.
- Provide AutoCAD/Visio Design Tool labor and direction as required to complete submittals and other engineered documents accurately and professionally.
- Develop comprehensive BAS submittal packages, including detailed riser diagrams, network architecture, and physical point-to-point wiring schematics for HVAC and electrical systems.
- Interpret project documents, estimate, and other information as available to select the proper equipment to achieve the scope of work required in the most effective and functional manner.
- Completion of Sequences of Operations (SOO) and be able to determine if written SOO's will meet system requirements.
- Complete Bill of Material for every design project.
- Develop system designs for BAS, including load calculations, equipment selection, and integration of various control systems.
- Assist Sales team during estimation/bid phase of the project by providing design support.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to assist in generating Request for Information (RFIs) to clarify design issues and recommend appropriate solutions as necessary.
- Assist in managing the timeline, budget, and coordination of projects.
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE USING VISIO
- 2+ years of experience programming within the Tridium/Niagara framework, Spyder tool, EIKON, EC-gfx Program, and/or Controller Configuration Tool.
- Experience Proposing cost-effective technical solutions.
- Experience maintaining or contributing to internal standards, libraries, or best practices for system design and engineering.
- Background in both design and ongoing support/service engineering for installed building systems
