Principal Data Center Systems Engineer

As a Principal Engineer, you will design and implement critical services, lead complex refactors, and champion quality. You will collaborate across teams to resolve dependencies and raise the bar for performance and reliability.

You will:

• Design and implement complex system solutions and technical requirements for enterprise data center infrastructure environments
• Collaborate across cross‑functional teams to deliver data center system interfaces and support technical execution
• Develop and maintain testing, diagnostic, and troubleshooting procedures for data center systems and equipment
• Create technical documentation, specifications, and test processes for new and existing infrastructure solutions
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost‑effective data center infrastructure solutions

• 8+ years of experience in systems development or a related technical role
• Knowledge of system architecture, rack level liquid cooling technologies and key components
• Basic understanding of data center infrastructure including servers, fluid network, power distribution and networking
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document technical requirements while collaborating effectively with internal and external teams
• Good problem‑solving and leadership skills with experience translating complex requirements into actionable work streams, resolving critical technical issues, and influencing cross‑functional teams to achieve results

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $148,000-$203,500.
