In the role of Resident Project Representative II, we'll count on you to:
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts
- Review accurate daily records of the inspector’s daily activities and the work performed, and compliance with building code
- Attend and/or chair progress meetings with the contractor, owners representatives and clients
- Conduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems
- Identify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain until corrected
- Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance
- Work under general supervision of a Project Manager
- Supervise and direct the activities of administrative staff and Construction Inspectors, and subconsultants
- Professional license as Texas State Plumber or Electrical Inspector.
- ICC Certifications or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
- Ability to lead a team of professional inspectors and staff
- Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer or project manager
- Ability to effectively communicate and maintain excellent client relationships
- Experience in coordinating with the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) Building Official and Fire Marshal.
Experience in advanced manufacturing/industrial facilities.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
- Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
- Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
