Job Description
Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA with Brookdale at Home provides one‑on‑one companionship and non‑medical hands‑on care—including dressing, bathing, grooming, personal care, and assistance with transfers—directly to clients in their homes. The role is available on a full‑time, part‑time, or PRN basis with same‑day interview opportunities.
Responsibilities- Work independently without on‑site supervision in the client’s personal home.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring).
- Support homemaker companion tasks such as laundry, shopping, light housekeeping, and meal preparation.
- Follow assignment tasks and contact supervisor for any deviations requested by the client.
- Encourage clients to perform as much self‑care as possible to remain active.
- Document care delivery in the client’s clinical record.
- Adhere to infection control and safety policies and guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide accurate, timely care documentation.
- Keep the client’s environment clean, safe, and orderly.
- Respond promptly and positively to client assistance requests.
- Communicate changes in client status or needs to the Agency Manager in a timely manner.
- Participate in educational programs and comply with required training.
- Travel to client homes and arrive on time for assignments.
- Standing, walking, and using hands and fingers to handle or feel.
- Reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional weekend, evening, or night work may be required.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, blood‑borne pathogens, latex, and various chemical or biological hazards.
- Frequent travel between client homes.
- High school diploma or General Education Certificate (GED) required.
- Completed an approved Home Health Aide program.
- Six months of independent home‑care experience preferred.
- State certification or required training as per state law, with ongoing compliance.
- Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license preferred.
- Valid state identification card.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.

Base pay range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.
