Ophthalmic Technician – Join Our Caring and Growing Eye Care Team!

Location: Round Rock/Leander/Georgetown

Practice: Clarity Eye Center

Overview:

Clarity Eye Center is seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate, and motivated Ophthalmic Technician to join our friendly and professional team. We’re dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive, team-focused environment.

The ideal Ophthalmic Technician candidate will be passionate about healthcare, eager to learn, and enjoy working directly with patients. Experience is always a plus — but we’re also excited to train recent college graduates (especially those with a background in science) who are ready to grow their careers in the medical field.

Responsibilities for the Ophthalmic Technician:
  • Assist ophthalmologists in providing exceptional patient care
  • Perform preliminary eye testing, including visual acuity, IOP checks, refraction, contact lens training and fitting, HVF testing, OCT, IOL Master, and topography
  • Record accurate medical histories and maintain thorough documentation
  • Educate patients on eye care procedures and treatment plans
  • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) — experience with Mod Med is a bonus!
  • Support clinic efficiency and maintain a smooth patient flow
  • Deliver excellent customer service and patient support
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Your COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) certification — that’s a big plus!
Ophthalmic Technician Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Eagerness to learn and ability to quickly grasp new skills
  • Professional, kind, and patient-centered communication style
  • Experience with EHR systems (especially Mod Med) preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
