The Assistant Director of Staffing & Recruitment serves as the primary staffing contact for assigned campuses and departments. Reporting to the Director of Staffing & Employee Support, this role leads district talent acquisition, recruitment, and retention efforts while supporting strategic workforce planning and HR branding initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative sourcing, recruitment, and retention strategies to fill vacancies efficiently and sustain high fill rates.
- Track weekly talent metrics and create KPI dashboard reports (including vacancy and new hire data) for HR leadership.
- Maintain continuous communication with hiring managers to streamline candidate selection, screening, and onboarding workflows.
- Analyze hard-to-fill positions and collaborate with the team to design targeted diversity and critical-needs recruitment strategies.
- Plan, coordinate, attend, and debrief district, in-state, and out-of-state hiring events.
- Develop promotional materials, position profiles, and social media content to boost district employer branding.
- Partner with universities, teacher preparation programs, SBEC, TEA, and regional service centers to expand talent pipelines.
- Design and deliver talent acquisition training modules for hiring managers and campus leaders.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local Board policy.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three years of related experience.
- Knowledge of HR staffing practices, public education compensation strategies, TEA regulations, and SBEC requirements.
- Skill in data analysis, report generation, effective written and verbal communication, ATS optimization, and event organization.
- Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state for recruitment efforts as needed.
Salary Range: Annual compensation ranges from $73,149.20 to $88,131.40.
