System Administrator – Staff –

Location:

Round Rock, TX – Salary: $95,000–$105,000

• Ensures the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Sets end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices.
• Installs, configures, and maintains software and hardware; ensures security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
• Performs and tests routine system backups and restores.
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware and software problems on desktops, servers, printers, and workstations and escalates incidents as necessary.
• Manages network assets, maintains an inventory of network components, and documents technical specifications.
• Analyzes system, server, application, network, and I/O device performance; recommends, schedules, and performs software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.

• Strong technical knowledge of network, PC operating systems, and local area network administration.
• Hands‑on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Customer‑service orientation with ability to prioritize tasks in a high‑pressure environment.
• Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills (preferred).
