Minimum Education:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Systems or related.

Minimum Experience:

2 Years.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop proficiency on at least one platform.

Install, configure and maintain database server software.

Plan, test, implement and monitor database backup and recovery processes.

Conduct database performance monitoring and perform appropriate database tuning tasks to maintain optimal application and reporting response times.

Assist in creating Reporting Services reports as needed.

Design, configure and maintain user security access to custom databases to support application functionality and reports.

Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities for SQL Server management of development and production environments.

Participate in service and vendor reviews and evaluations.

Expand technical knowledge in own and related discipline for functional areas supported. Keep abreast of new techniques and procedures.

Submit and retrieve data files as required by the State (IWAS) (e.g., student demographics, enrollment, test, special needs).
