Job SummaryThe Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) directs the day-to-day operation and clinical services to ensure quality care and efficient operations. The ADON coordinates with the parent office, interdisciplinary team, patients, families, and referring agencies, oversees QAPI issues at the branch level, and directs staff with regard to agency policies and procedures. The ADON maximizes human, financial, and equipment resources.
Key Responsibilities- Directs and coordinates branch operations and assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered.
- Promotes the philosophy, mission, and administrative policies of the agency to ensure quality of patient/client care.
- Employs, recruits, manages, and directs qualified personnel to carry out policies and procedures of the agency. Ensures staff education and evaluations.
- Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.
- Monitors operational systems for efficiency and compliance with regulations and identifies problem areas to administrator and supervising nurse.
- Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency and licensing board.
- Provides communication to parent office regarding branch needs including personnel, financial, professional practices, quality issues, and planning.
- Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to facilitate desired outcomes.
- Promotes and monitors compliance with fiscal intermediaries and other third-party payers and federal, state regulations through education, coaching, QAPI program, and other assistance as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required;
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred. - Minimum two years of experience as a registered nurse, and one year experience in home health or long-term care. Management experience preferred.
- Homecare Homebase EMR experience strongly preferred.
- Previous home health or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
- Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-focused care.
- Current driver license and reliable transportation.

$85,000 to $95,000 per year
