Job Summary The Rental Supervisor oversees branch rental operations and team members, ensuring equipment is prepared, delivered on time, and meets customer needs. This role uses rental systems to track equipment readiness, monitor performance metrics, and manage upcoming deliveries and returns. This position drives rental revenue while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Leads branch rental team members and provides operational support to the Rental Sales Representative
* Operates the rental counter at the branch, services walk-in customers with rental quotes, reservations, and agreements
* Completes rental invoices and customer damage (supplemental) for customers
* Takes payment for rentals at the counter
* Subject matter expert for quoting, reservations, and unit status in rental business system
* Subject matter expert for operations reports in rental business system
* Provides customer support with transportation, upcoming rentals, payment, account status, customer damage, and the services we offer.
* Works closely with the Branch manager, Service Management and Corporate Rental Operations Manager to quickly turn rental equipment through the shop
* Monitors and turns individual units quickly and puts in appropriate availability status
* Receives, washes, inspects, tags, and checks-out rental equipment as needed
* Trains branch employees in rental processes and procedures
* Completes rental equipment transfers, including transport vendor coordination
* Provides rental data and feedback to the Branch Manager
* Closely tracks rental availability at the branch
* Approves major repairs, based on published thresholds
* Primary customer case manager for field service or swaps, when rental equipment down in the field
* Makes improvements to branch rental operations to ensure quality & consistency## Qualifications Required Skills

* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership of challenges and provide timely solutions.
* Strong counter sales skills, with the ability to engage with customers, ask smart questions, and create a solution that fits the need
* Ability to supervise an adaptable team in a challenging environment.
* Ability to read, understand, and interpret rental contracts and machine technical information
* Strong understanding of equipment logistics, able to create hauling solutions that are right for the customer and the equipment they are renting
* High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in filling orders and invoicing.
* Strong adaptability, organizational and time management skills to effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency with computer systems, including common applications such as Microsoft Office.
* Inventory management skills, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and conducting cycle counts.
* Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively across divisions, sales, and service departments.
** Education and Experience
*** High school diploma or equivalent
* Some college credits preferred
* 1-2 Years of experience in heavy machinery, automotive, or military equipment maintenance
* 1-2 Years of experience in construction or fleet readiness operations
* 3 years of experience front-line customer service
* Familiar with equipment rental software or rental processes
* Strong background in equipment logistics and shipping processes
