Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site SMT Tooling Technician role located in Round Rock, TX. The SMT Tooling Technician is responsible for designing, manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining necessary tools and components to support daily production operations. Key responsibilities include designing and fabricating tools used in dynamic solder-wave applications, thermal profiling, machine set-up and calibration, and troubleshooting mechanical or process issues, Collaboration with engineering, management, and production teams to ensure optimal efficiency is an essential part of this role.

Qualifications
  • Understanding of modern Milling and Machining techniques, with attention to precision and detail.
  • Previous tooling design experience in an SMT environment is required
  • Hands-on experience in Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and tooling issues.
  • Expertise in using drafting software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Autodesk, or similar is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics is required.
  • Previous experience in semiconductor, aerospace, or a similar high-reliability industry is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant training is advantageous.
