Validation Test Engineer

Description

The Validation Test Engineer will support the Server Storage Engineering team by validating next-generation server storage platforms (e.g., ATG / pre-release systems). This role is highly hands-on and involves assembling, configuring, and troubleshooting prototype servers that often arrive incomplete or with evolving documentation.

Responsibilities include executing validation testing (functional, stress, endurance, and fault injection), debugging hardware/firmware/software issues, identifying missing components, and ensuring systems are configured according to OEM specifications. The engineer will work in lab environments and coordinate with global test labs when needed.

Success in this role requires strong problem‑solving, the ability to work with minimal documentation, and comfort working on early‑stage hardware platforms.

• Strong attention to configuration detail (firmware order, system configs)
• Ability to read diagrams/BOMs and map components correctly

• Self‑sufficient and proactive

Contract position based out of Round Rock, TX. Fully onsite.
