Job Summary

As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), you will assess patients, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care.

Responsibilities
  • Formulate a plan of care and revise it based on patient response and regularly evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Consult and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and revise the plan of care to meet patients’ needs and goals.
  • Administer medications and complete treatments in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Delegate work appropriately to non‑licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Provide pre‑ and post‑operative patient care.
  • Provide education materials to patients and families about care and treatments.
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
Qualifications
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
  • Experience in an acute‑care setting (preferred).
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
  • Current State of Texas RN license or Compact RN license (compact license must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • No travel required.
