Registered Nurse Anderson Mill Freestanding ER

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join St. David's Emergency Center - Anderson Mill, a freestanding ER, as a Registered Nurse. This position is part of HCA Healthcare, one of the nation's leading healthcare providers.

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with state and specialty standards. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values.

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and side effects, translating complex terminology into understandable language.
• Teaches non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes, preparing patients and families for future self‑management.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) credential.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
