Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care 12-Week Contract Opportunity

Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week (Clinic Hours)

Contract Duration: 12 Weeks

Pay Rate: $74.87/hr

Position Overview

A-Line Staffing is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a 12-week contract opportunity in Round Rock, TX. This is an onsite, patient-facing role providing high-quality, evidence-based primary care services while collaborating with a dedicated clinical care team. Candidates must have recent primary care, family medicine, or urgent care Nurse Practitioner experience. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, chronic condition management, health counseling, and care coordination while practicing autonomously within a collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based primary and family care, including:

  • Patient assessments and evaluations
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
  • Management of health problems and ongoing care plans
  • Health counseling and patient education
  • Disposition planning and follow-up care
  • Perform routine examinations and preventive health screenings to support positive patient outcomes
  • Manage chronic disease conditions while supporting quality care initiatives
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, wellness, and preventive healthcare
  • Complete diagnostic testing to assist with diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive treatment plans

Encourage patients to actively participate in their healthcare through:

  • Health screenings
  • Behavioral health and wellness services
  • Chronic condition management
  • Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate clinical documentation

Perform administrative clinic duties, including:

  • Opening and closing clinic procedures
  • Inventory management
  • Patient follow-up
  • Insurance verification and payment collection
  • Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
  • Active license in good standing with no current or prior disciplinary actions
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of quality measures related to chronic disease management
  • Ability to practice autonomously while collaborating with a clinical care team
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability
  • Proficiency with electronic medical systems and healthcare technology
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licensure if required
Required Documentation
  • Screenshot of active BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association required)
  • Screenshot of active Nurse Practitioner license
Additional Requirements
  • DEA registration may be required during onboarding
  • Safety-sensitive, patient-facing position
  • High School Diploma/GED verification required
  • Prior healthcare system experience is not required
  • Must be available to work three out of every six weekends, with possible holiday rotations
  • Onsite clinic support required as needed
