Job Summary
PATIENT SERVER – Full-time and part-time positions at Ascension Seton Williamson, 201 Seton Parkway, Round Rock, TX 78665.
Schedule
:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 8:30 pm. Weekends, mornings, and evenings required. Full-time and part-time schedules; more details upon interview.
Pay
: $15.00 per hour. Willing to train.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Exhibit a friendly, caring attitude when taking menu selections, delivering trays, and retrieving trays.
- Take patients' menu selections prior to each meal.
- Comply with dietary restrictions and special, modified diets according to diet order limitations.
- Offer alternatives based on prescribed diet, allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Assemble trays according to patients’ menu selections on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Interact with nursing staff to ensure patients’ diet prescriptions are accurate and patients’ food needs are met.
- Retrieve trays from patients’ rooms.
- Maintain accurate and current information for each patient on assigned unit(s).
- Assist the dietitian with monitoring patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, or have a calorie count ordered.
- Communicate any patient‑related problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly following departmental procedures.
- Adhere to facility confidentiality and patients’ rights policy as outlined in HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Contribute to patient satisfaction goals by providing quality service.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary working environment.
- Follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety.
- Complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures on time.
- Identify and utilize cleaning chemicals following manufacturers’ directions and MSDS sheets.
- Use equipment in performing job functions according to department safety procedures.
- Follow facility and department safety, incident reporting, infection control, hazardous materials, waste, emergency preparedness, and life safety programs.
- Participate in drills as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Computer technical skills to operate hospital systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
