Overview

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker's / Retail Sales Associate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as: work location, qualifications, and experience.

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$14.00 to $18.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.05 per hour ON TOP OF YOUR HOURLY RATE.

• Vacation: one week after six months of active, full-time service; an additional week after one year; two weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after five years (adjusted for state/local requirements).
• Sick/Personal: 8 hours after six months, 16 hours on each anniversary thereafter (years 2-5), 24 hours after five years (adjusted for state/local requirements).

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate solutions for financial needs.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures; keep the sales floor clean and well-stocked.
• Process sales and loan transactions in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls and communicate clearly about pawn and buy transactions.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to deliver a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and perform other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, and perform related tasks as required.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (in applicable locations).
• Minimum Age: 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with people, be team-oriented, and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency; cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work across multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
